Additional dMAT Exam Fees

• Retake fee: You pay the full €150 (₹16,350) again for a retake. There is no discount for a second attempt. You can retake the exam only on the next scheduled national test date, as the dMAT is not offered on demand.

• Score recheck for both modules: A recheck of both module results costs €60 (₹6,540). This fee is refunded only if the recheck changes your score.

How to Pay dMAT Exam Fees from India? 

The dMAT exam fee is paid through g.a.s.t.'s own participant portal, not through APS India, and not in Indian rupees. Here's exactly how the process works.

Step 1: Create Your g.a.s.t. Participant Account

Go to the official g.a.s.t. registration portal and create your account. Enter your name exactly as it appears on your passport, a mismatch here is one of the most common causes of certificate delays later, since g.a.s.t. matches your test record to your passport details when issuing your final certificate.

Step 2: Choose Your Test Centre

Select from the available Indian test centres, currently ten cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kolkata, Mananthavady, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Pune. Seats are allocated first-come, first-served, and popular centres like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru tend to fill up fastest, so register early if you have a centre preference.

Step 3: Pay the €150 Fee Online

On the payment screen, choose either credit card or direct debit. Your registration is only confirmed once the payment goes through, g.a.s.t. does not hold a seat on trust while payment is pending. Payments are processed through Unzer E-com GmbH with SSL-128-bit encryption, and your card is charged immediately after booking, not later.

Step 4: Save Your Payment Confirmation

Download and keep your booking receipt. You'll need it if you ever request a refund or have to raise a payment query, and g.a.s.t. recommends printing it alongside their Terms and Conditions for your records.

dMAT Exam Fee Refund Policy (2026)

The dMAT exam fee is refundable, but the amount you receive depends on when you cancel your registration. 

Here are the details of the dMAT refund policy based on when you cancel your registration:

• Within 14 days: You can get a full refund without giving a reason after completing your online registration.
• After 14 days: You can still request a refund until 15 September 2026, but an administrative fee of up to 15% may be deducted. On a €150 (₹16,350) payment, this can be up to €22.50 (around ₹2,450).
• After the deadline: Deregistration closes after 15 September 2026, and no refund is issued.
• No-show: If you do not appear for the test and do not deregister, you lose the full exam fee.
• Rules violation: If you are disqualified or banned from the exam for breaking the rules, the full fee is forfeited.

dMAT Exam Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your dMAT registration before the exam, but you must follow the correct cancellation process to qualify under the applicable refund rules.

Here is what counts as each type of dMAT cancellation:

• Deregistering through the portal: The only valid way to cancel is through the g.a.s.t. participant portal. Cancelling by email or simply skipping the exam does not count.
• No-show: If you do not appear on test day without formally deregistering, it is treated as a no-show, not a cancellation. The refund rules for missed exams then apply.
• Mid-test exit: Leaving the exam after it has started is treated as a discontinued exam and has the same outcome as a no-show.
• Rules violation: Disqualification due to a rules violation is separate from voluntary cancellation and is not refundable.
