GRE Exam Dates 2023 in India: GRE Subject & General Test Dates, GRE Testing Centres & More

Did you know that the GRE is considered to be a predictor of success by the ETS? And that students scoring well in the GRE are likely to score a GPA average of 4.0?

Taken by approximately 70K Indian students every year, the GRE is currently designated as one of the most competitive standardised exams.

And, the one question that you might be wrestling with, while preparing for your GRE exam is- “what is the optimal time to take this competitive test?”

While there is no perfect time, and answer; there are definitely things and facts about GRE test dates 2023 in India that you should know about!

So, what’s the wait? Here is how you can choose your GRE test date, and move into your GRE test centre feeling self-assured!

When to Take the GRE Exam?

Honestly speaking, there is no specific time to take the GRE exam. And that your “perfect” time might differ from someone else’s. For instance, as you may know that the GRE validity is 5 years, now, if you wish to enter graduate school just after your graduation, you might want to take the GRE test in your first year.

On the contrary, if you wish to work for 2-3 years before starting your graduate program, you will take your GRE exam in your last year. Also, the GRE exam dates are flexible, and can be chosen according to your specifications.

Suggested: What is the GRE Eligibility?

The most crucial part about choosing yourself a correct GRE test date is to make sure that you have ample time to submit your GRE scores to universities. It usually takes 10-15 days for the ETS to give you your GRE score. And so while choosing yourself a GRE test date, there should be no missing of application deadlines. Otherwise what’s the point right?
