Cancel or reschedule at least 4 days before your test date
To be eligible for any fee refund or to keep your test fee valid for a new date, you must make cancellation or rescheduling requests no later than 4 full days before the scheduled test date.

Rescheduling your GRE exam costs INR 5,000. This fee applies whenever you change your test date or centre more than 4 days before the original test date.
GRE Cancellation Fee (India)
If you cancel your GRE exam at least 4 days before the test date, ETS refunds 50% of your test fee. For Indian candidates, this means a cancellation fee of INR 11,250 (half of the standard GRE General Test fee).
No refund if you cancel too late
If you cancel less than 4 days before your test date, or if you simply don’t show up on test day, no refund is provided and the entire exam fee is forfeited.
Refund processing
Refunds are typically returned to the original payment method you used, but may take up to 15 business days or longer, depending on your payment provider.
When to Take the GRE Exam?
The GRE exam should be taken at least 3 months before your application deadline.
For example, if your application deadline is in December, you should take the GRE by September.
